Here is the bed I mentioned in my last post. I thought it might be fun to show you what can be done with a can of paint or two and a weekend. I got this bed for free, and thought it was great – just not girly enough for my little princess. So, I spruced it up with yellow-ivory tone, and painted on scolls in pink with apple green accents. Perfect for a big-girl bed! I just finished the restoration of an old vanity for the same little girl. One tip: I always use oil-based paint to refinish furniture. It is more durable than latex, and it washes up well.
I love making the old new again – never underestimate the power of paint!
